Asite attending one of the largest sailing regattas in the world
This year Asite will once again be a part of Cowes Week, which will take place from the 31st of July until the 6th of August. Cowes Week has run successfully since 1826 and is one of the oldest and largest yachting regattas in the world. It now attracts 1000 yachts and up to 8500 racers from all over the world.
There are up to 40 daily races with competitors ranging from Olympic and world-class professionals to weekend sailors. Racing takes place on the Solent, a challenging stretch of water between the Isle of Wight and the mainland.
Whether you are a sailing fan or not, there is plenty to enjoy with the main town turning itself into a festival ashore; with live music stages, open-air bars, market stalls, pop-up nightclubs, and many famous black-tie balls. Over 100,000 spectators come to enjoy the sailing and all that Cowes Week has to offer.
The regatta is full-on with some fantastic sail activities culminating in the famous Cowes Week Fireworks on the last Friday.
