The BSI Kitemark webinar took place on the 19th of May and gave industry experts the chance to share valuable insights on digital transformation and Building Information Modelling (BIM) Software.
Asite was invited as one of the first organizations globally to achieve the BSI Kitemark for BIM software by BSI (British Standard Institution).
The Asite Digital Engineering team of, Arushan Mahendrakumar and Aysar Abou Kheir, sat on a panel to discuss how the Kitemark certification will enable them to support their clients and drive the digital transformation agenda in the built environment.
The BSI Kitemark establishes Asite’s Common Data Environment (CDE) as the benchmark for best practice in the industry, supporting compliance with the ISO 19650 suite of standards.
This is an international standard for managing information over the whole life cycle of a built asset using BIM, highlighting the prestige and resilience of the Asite Platform.1
Asite played an active role in the development of the BSI kitemark, seeing it as a great opportunity to help push the industry forward, by promoting the highest standards in functionality, development, security, resilience, support, and customer satisfaction.
Digital Engineering Lead, Arushan Mahendrakumar, said on the partnership with BSI:
‘At the time we heard about this opportunity, we had just worked with the BSI team to become proud members of their Associate Consultant Programme, which accredits Asite to advise and consult on the ISO 19650 series of standards.
This did two things, firstly it kickstarted our partnership with BSI, and secondly validate our expertise around the ISO 19650, and so we saw the development of the Kitemark for BIM as another opportunity to work together.’
