Asite to join The Little Britain Challenge Cup (LBCC) 2021 for the eighth year running
The Little Britain Challenge Cup (LBCC) is the property and construction industry’s annual sailing regatta held in Cowes, Isle of Wight.
Since its establishment in 1988, the event has attracted hundreds of companies and thousands of crews within the AEC Sector, making it one of the most anticipated networking events.
The main purpose of the event is to raise money for numerous sailing charities such as The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, The Cirdan Sailing Trust, and a host of other small sailing charities. Surplus profits and donations are shared between the charities and over the past 30 years, the LBCC has raised over £1.5 million. Asite is a proud platinum sponsor of the event as it reaches its 34th edition.
After a scaled-down event in 2020, due to government guidelines as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the LBCC will return back to normal as a two-day event in 2021. The event will take place from September 10th to the 11th with a 5-race series event organized by industry volunteers.
This year the regatta will be return home to West Cowes, at Shepards Marina, after taking place in Solent, Portsmouth last year.
LBCC 2021 will also see the return of the Asite pontoon party, which the company has hosted over the years for the sailing crews after a day of racing, providing entertainment, refreshments, and creating an enjoyable atmosphere to mark the end of a busy sailing day.
