Secure by Design: Asite 3D Repo v5.16

Welcome to your latest 3D Repo update. Version 5.16 is making your experience smoother, more secure, and more powerful—whether you are managing tickets, logging in, or customizing your view. 

A more secure login experience 

We have completely overhauled how you log into 3D Repo. You will now see a brand-new login screen from a secure identity platform provider, which offers enhanced security features and better integration with corporate systems. 

What this means for you: 

• Social login via Single Sign-On (SSO) support for login via username and password but also via your existing Microsoft account; 
• Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on by default and configurable per Teamspace; 
• A minimum of 16-character passwords being enforced as standard; 
• IP restrictions available for added security at the Teamspace level; 
• Enterprise Entra ID user management via your own corporate Microsoft Entra ID interface, including support for federation of federations across multiple tenants. 

• Important: If you’re using  3D Repo plugins, please update them to the latest version, which can be downloaded from our website here.

Older versions are no longer supported with the new authentication setup. 

Streamlined ticket filtering

Managing tickets just got a whole lot easier. In Asite 3D Repo you can now: 

• Combine filters like status, template, or specific properties; 
• Choose to include or exclude filter results (e.g. “Show everything except X”); 
• Filter by missing values, like tickets without a due date; 
• Filters now run on the backend, making searches faster and more accurate. 

If you are using tools like Power BI, these same filters can now be applied via the API—making your custom dashboards even more powerful.  

Customize your pins

Pins are now more flexible than ever. You can customise pin icons, colours and how they appear on different templates. This is perfect if you’re managing things like safety tickets or specific treatments—you can visually flag them in a way that works best for your team. 

Improved model import performance 

Uploading native files just got a lot faster and more reliable. We have made performance improvements to our importer, which affects files such as Revit, Navisworks, DWG, DGN. 

You’ll see fewer failed uploads and faster import times. 

Tabular view: resize and scroll

A small but useful improvement: column widths in tabular views are now adjustable. If you’re working with a lot of data, just scroll horizontally to view everything with ease.
