The board of Asite is pleased to announce that on 24 November it appointed Colin Goodall to the board as a non-executive director and that he will replace Sir John Egan as Non-Executive Chairman from 1 January 2005. In addition, the board of Asite is delighted to confirm that Sir John has agreed to remain on the board of Asite as a non-executive director and would like to take this opportunity to thank Sir John for his immense contribution to the business during his tenure as Chairman.
Colin Goodall has been a non-executive member of the board of Dana Petroleum plc since 2002 following a successful 24 year upstream oil career with the BP group. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1966, he worked in Africa for a number of organisations, including Anglo American Corporation and Touche Ross. He joined the finance team at BP plc in 1975, later becoming the first Chief of Staff within the BP group. From 1995 to 1999 he served as Chief Financial Officer of BP Europe and then as BP's senior representative in Russia. He served as Chairman of Bidcom Limited from 2001 to 2002. Bidcom Limited, founded in 2000, was a leading UK collaboration technology company which, like Asite, was focused on delivering solutions for clients in the construction industry and whose shareholders included Carillion, Wates Group, EC Harris and KPMG. Bidcom was acquired by Citadon in 2002. He has also been a lecturer and examiner for London University in the areas of management and finance.
